Hairspray

Belinda began her career in 1978 as the lead singer of the legendary American all girl band The Gogo's, who were the first all-female band in rock history to have a number one album, Beauty and the Beat. The band broke up in 1985 and Belinda continued as a successful solo artist releasing the 1987 album Heaven on Earth which included the worldwide number one hit Heaven Is a Place on Earth. She continued to record through the 1990s and most recently released her critically acclaimed album Voila which was sung entirely in French.

Through the years, Belinda has appeared in various films and television shows, most recently appearing on the American Dancing with the Stars. Belinda continues to tour extensively in the US and Europe both as part of her band The Gogo's and as a solo performer. She has written her memoirs entitled Lips Unsealed which is scheduled for release in May 2010.

Belinda currently lives between America and France with her husband Morgan and her 17-year-old son James.
