Stage Entertainment was founded in 1998 by Joop van den Ende. From its Museumplein headquarters in Amsterdam the company has recently focused on international growth, and under Joop van den Ende’s personal guidance, has become an important player in the international live entertainment industry. Employing over 5000 people worldwide, Stage Entertainment now has bases in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, the UK, the United States, Russia, Belgium, Poland, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

In the West End, Stage Entertainment has produced Fame, Contact, The Full Monty, Spend Spend Spend and Blue Man Group. Previous UK tours include Fame and Lady Salsa.
The company currently produces the UK/Ireland tour of Disney’s High School Musical, and also produced the recent season of that show at the Hammersmith Apollo.
Stage Entertainment produce the multi-award winning production of Hairspray at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre and the annual arena tour of Strictly Come Dancing Live!
